McElroy Service Experts in Grand Island always talks about how our team of experts are NATE-certified, and while it sounds comforting, what does it actually mean?
NATE stands for North American Technician Excellence and, as stated on their website, is the nation’s largest certification organization for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and refrigeration technicians. The organization is owned, operated, developed, and supported by the entire HVAC and refrigeration industry but not all people in the industry are required to be certified by NATE. The certification is voluntary and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without being NATE-certified.
It’s important to McElroy Service Experts that our experts are NATE-certified to be sure we are sending the most qualified and trained technicians into your home. To make sure experts meet these benchmarks, the NATE-certification tests validate real-world working knowledge of HVACR systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that assess the technician’s knowledge of these criteria.
Since McElroy Service Experts focuses on the HVAC side of NATE-certification instead of refrigeration, there are only particular areas pertinent to our technicians. NATE test candidates may receive installation and/or service certification in one or more of the specialty areas listed below:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
