The NATE-Certification Advantage

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to send NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes throughout North America every day. While this notation of being Nate-Certified decidedly sounds comforting, what does it really mean?
nate certified technicians

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was created by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for close to 20 years. Although, not all technicians in the industry have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is discretionary and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems without being NATE-Certified.

It’s a priority for Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are placing the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these benchmarks, the NATE-Certification exams confirm real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that measure the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Considering Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses primarily on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians attain their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in multiple areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be assured that the technicians at Service Experts are highly qualified and professional and will do the job correctly the first time. Our company has the knowledge and skill set to not only service your HVAC systems, but to take the best care of your equipment.
